“Teri has been working with me on The Ayrshire Hospice Capital Build Project since early 2020, and I am personally very grateful to have had her support from an early stage. Now in May 2025, the Hospice is weeks from practical completion, and the transformation of the site is truly astounding.
We felt that the services of a specialist planning expert would be invaluable given the complexities/constraints of the site, and it was an excellent decision. In the mix we have had a planning application which went to committee, a Listed Building Consent (LBC) application (various Grade 2 listed elements on site – all early 1800’s) and the further constraints of a Tree Preservation Order and all of this sitting within a Conservation Area! The site was also challenging in that it was narrow and rectilinear in nature, running east/west. Following the granting of full planning and LBC in December 2021, there were some changes to the design which required a non-material variation (NMV), which Teri navigated beautifully for us.
Teri forged an excellent relationship with the local council’s Planning Department at the outset and this has continued to the present day, bearing fruit whenever any minor change has required further negotiation and approval.
